Greetings from Shanghai! Aalto Tongji Design Factory is currently being built at top speed. Our Finnish team is working full-time on the construction site in collaboration with their Chinese partners to make the place rise and shine. As you can see from the photos, the Factory is starting to take shape:
Important visitors & lots of love
Last Friday, Aalto Tongji Design Factory had the pleasure of getting some well known visitors from Finland. A top delegation from the Helsinki region, including Jussi Pajunen, Marketta Kokkonen and Juhani Paananen, the city mayors of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa, visited the Factory. Naturally, they could not escape the premises without the affectionate hugs from our Aalto Tongji DF team…
Finnish delegation visiting Aalto Tongji Design Factory
The grand opening celebration of Aalto Tongji Design Factory will be organized on 25th May, 2010. More information will follow in the near future!
- Aalto Tongji Design Factory is a joint project between Aalto University & Tongji University (Shanghai). According to a Memorandum of Understanding, signed on January 9th 2010 by President Tuula Teeri of Aalto University and Vice President Jiang Wu of Tongji University, Aalto Tongji Design Factory will be established to Tongji University Campus during spring 2010.
- Aalto Tongji Design Factory will be a platform enabling and inspiring interdisciplinary co-creation, interaction and learning between students, teachers, researchers and industry of the two universities and respective nations involved.
